Presented in partnership with Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence (MACC) through the Start The Right Conversation campaign and sponsored by ADAMH of Franklin County.
Teen Talk! is a youth-centered community conversation designed to create space for honest dialogue around substance use and mental health challenges. As part of MACC’s Start The Right Conversation campaign, this event is intended to encourage open discussion, meaningful connection, and supportive engagement with young people in a welcoming community setting.
Through guided conversation and shared reflection, Teen Talk! offers youth an opportunity to be heard, encouraged, and connected with helpful resources. This event centers the importance of youth voice while promoting understanding, support, and healthier conversations around topics that deeply affect young people, families, schools, and communities.
Teen Talk! also reflects the mission of the Elevate Leadership Academy by uplifting young voices, encouraging personal growth, and helping participants build confidence, connection, and awareness.
What to Expect
- Open and supportive conversation – Youth will have space to engage in real talk about substance use, mental health, and the challenges facing young people today.
- Encouragement and connection – Participants will be welcomed into a setting that promotes listening, support, and respectful dialogue.
- Resource sharing – Attendees will be connected with helpful information, community resources, and support options.
- Youth-centered engagement – The event is designed to uplift youth voice and create an environment where young people feel seen, heard, and valued.
- Community-based support – Teen Talk brings together trusted organizations and community leadership to foster awareness, connection, and hope.
