Restorative Practices in the Mental & Behavioral Health Field – Implications on Access and Services
July 22 @ 1:00 pm - 4:15 pm
Restorative Practices (RP) in the Mental & Behavioral Workplace provides participants with tools to enhance intrapersonal engagement and organizational health using trauma-informed approaches that support belonging, individual agency, and accountability. Participants will examine strategies that support organizational wellbeing and strengthen workplace culture. Restorative practices can be used to build diverse and resilient teams through a focus on responsibility, respect, and inclusive participation that sparks creativity and innovative ways of thinking.
Restorative practices have deep resonance with, and have been influenced by, a variety of collective philosophical and theoretical perspectives, including Indigenous cultures and traditions from around the world. The International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) seeks to respect and connect the integrity and heart of traditional practices with relevant interdisciplinary knowledge and a commitment to relationality and community across the globe.
