On August 4, 2026, MACC joined Dr. Amerah Archer’s Eden & Co. and community partners for the inaugural Restore & Rise Educator Wellness Summit at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg. The nearly sold-out event welcomed 109 educators representing 17 educational organizations for a day centered on restoration, reflection, professional growth, and community care.
Restore & Rise was created around an important belief: educator wellness is not simply a reward after the work is finished—it is an essential part of the work. Educators carry tremendous responsibility for the students and families they serve, yet they are not always given opportunities to focus on their own health and well-being.

A Day of Learning and Restoration
Throughout the summit, participants explored culturally responsive strategies, trauma-informed practices, empathy, mindfulness, and ways to create sustainable personal wellness routines. Restorative activities also gave educators opportunities to pause, reconnect, and prepare for the upcoming school year with renewed energy.
MACC was proud to serve as a sponsor and vendor and to facilitate a training from Presidential Consultants: What We Reach For: Re-Examining the Tools We Use to Cope, Fuel, and Thrive. The session encouraged educators to consider the habits, resources, and strategies they turn to for comfort, energy, and relief. It also included thoughtful conversations about substances and healthier approaches to coping.
The summit featured 13 speakers and offered participants the opportunity to earn up to 10 contact hours through Bowling Green State University.
The Impact of Restore & Rise
Approximately 83% of attendees completed the event survey, and their responses demonstrated the summit’s meaningful impact:
- Nearly 96% rated their overall experience a four or five out of five.
- Approximately 89% reported feeling highly restored and reenergized at the end of the day.
- Nearly 95% gave an eight, nine, or ten when asked how likely they were to recommend the summit to a colleague.
Attendees identified breathwork and mindfulness, culturally responsive strategies, trauma-informed practices, and the development of personal wellness routines among the most valuable strategies they gained. Their comments also reflected the emotional impact of the day. Participants shared that they left feeling calmer, encouraged, and better prepared to care for themselves while continuing to support their students.
